It makes sense that a car that is rarely driven will last longer, right? It may seem counterintuitive, but that isn’t necessarily the case. Vehicles are meant to be driven, and various issues can arise if they aren’t stored properly or driven fairly regularly. If you have a car, truck, or SUV that you only drive occasionally, in the summer, to car shows, etc., this one is for you. Here’s what you need to know, from Ben's Tire & Auto Repair in Valdosta, GA.

I was traveling through Valdosta and staying overnight to see my mom while on the way to Florida. My car was leaking a fluid underneath at a rapid rate and I was worried about continuing on my journey. A friend recommended Ben's Tire and Auto so I called them at 5:15 in the evening to ask them what to do. They were SO very kind and told me to be there at 8:00 a.m. and they would take a look at it. True to their word they got it right up on the lift and were able to ascertain that it was only the condensation from running teither the AC or the defroster. If I lived here there would be no question in my mind but that they would be my mechanics of choice!!! Southern hospitality and service at its best!!! THANK YOU Ben and company!
diesel truck

Whether you drive a Ram, Chevy, or Ford diesel pickup, our expert technicians have the know-how you need - from trivia to engine rebuilds, we’ve got you covered.

Small transmission problems can become big ones if not tended to in a timely manner. Your car, truck, or SUV has been shifting weird for a while now - does that mean it’s too late to do anything about it? Ben's Tire & Auto Repair in Valdosta, GA has the answer.

mechanic

If there’s an issue with your diesel fuel system, the most important thing to remember is to fix it sooner rather than later. With gas engines, you can often power through a fuel issue for quite some time - they’re irritating, but not often permanently damaging.  Diesel systems are a little more important, and parts rely heavily on one another to avoid damage and keep working properly, as well as maintenance and repair from professional technicians.

car door

No matter what type of car, truck, or SUV you drive, old or new, it probably has doors. Those doors are heavy, and they see a lot of use. Naturally, from time to time, parts wear out. If your door doesn’t function as well as it should, here’s why, courtesy of Ben's Tire & Auto Repair in Valdosta.

Person driving with hands on the steering wheel

We’ve all been here: You start up your vehicle in the morning and begin to back out of the driveway. Before your hand reaches the volume dial on the stereo to crank up your favorite morning radio duo, you hear a noise coming from your car. A vehicle shouldn’t make that noise, yet yours is. And it sounds bad. But is it?
